Byline: Daily Herald Reports When it comes to playing in their own Hersey volleyball invite, Emily Steinbeck, Annie Fesl and Lauren Dembkowski are perfect. For the third straight year, the veteran trio served as a members of a championship team. Hersey (15-2) wrapped up this year's crown with a 25-17, 25-18 victory over Mundelein, after posting a 25-19, 25-20 triumph over Schaumburg in the semifinals.

The Saxons took third place with a 25-14, 25-16 triumph over Lake Forest. Hersey's title run was sparked offensively by Dembkowski, who put down 46 kills from a spectacular .478 hitting percentage (87- 90).
