Bette J. Thornburg a 43-year resident of Wheaton A memorial open-house for Bette J. Thornburg (nee Hertenstein), 80, will be held between 1 and 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Arrowhead Club, 26W151 Butterfield Road, Wheaton. Born Oct. 14, 1926, in Anderson, Ind., the daughter of the late Ernest A.
and Ethel Hertenstein, she died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at her home in Wheaton, surrounded by family. Bette received her B.A. at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. She was a realtor in Wheaton for more than 20 years. She was loved by many and will be fondly remembered for her artwork, baking, laughter and love for her family.
