Groups opposing Kirk show courage I would like to commend the Sierra Club, both the Illinois chapter and National, as well as the League of Conservation Voters in their decision to not re-endorse our current congressman, Mark Kirk. While Kirk's ads and his supporters campaign as if he is endorsed by the environmental groups, this finally puts paid to the notion that he has been good for the environment.
It takes a great deal of integrity and courage to go against an incumbent, as most organizations compromise and minimize their demands in order to support them, just to ensure some measure of influence over the politician's votes.
