St. Charles East's White headed to Coastal Carolina.(Sports)

Byline: Christine Bolin Daily Herald Sports Writer After spending the last four years as a Saint in the Midwest, St. Charles East senior Katie White will be a Chanticleer in the South by this time next year. White, a 6-foot-3 center on the St. Charles East girls basketball team, recently signed on to be a Chanticleer - also known as a medieval rooster - at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.
White narrowed her final choices to Bradley, Northwestern and Kent State in Ohio. "(Coastal Carolina) was a lot different from all the other schools in the Midwest," White said.
