- Air Force Master Sgt. Christopher D. Eaton has arrived for duty at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C., and has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. Eaton is the program manager of the Air Force Uniform Business Office assigned to the Office of the Air Force Surgeon General. The master sergeant has served in the military for 21 years.

He is the son of Susan B. Eaton of Ridgefields Road, and Jerry Eaton, both of Kingsport, Tenn. His wife, Julia, is the daughter of Willie O. and Joyce A. Scruggs of Elgin. The sergeant is a 1985 graduate of Central High School, Blountville, Tenn. - Army Pfc. Nathan A. Gallois has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
