It's the one name you haven't heard in relation to a Cubs sale, and it's that of William Wrigley Jr.
The Tribune Co. would only sell to a local group for public- relations purposes, because they'll still hold local media interests and there'd be no percentage in selling to an out-of- towner and further angering the masses. And if the next group puts a Wrigley out front, or at least near the front, it would give Bill Wrigley Jr. a chance to right the wrong of his father being forced to sell the team in 1981 - to pay estate...
