Byline: Anna Marie Kukec Naperville-based Black Line Consulting, an information technology consulting firm, has acquired Elgin-based Frontline Technology. This is Black Line's second acquisition this year. It acquired Batavia-based Hyperliant Consulting in August. More acquisitions are planned for next year, said Black Line spokeswoman Jeanne Buddingh.

"Black Line is aggressively seeking other companies to acquire and have plans for two to three more acquisitions in 2007, mainly the Chicagoland market," Buddingh said. Black Line was founded in 1993 and provides strategic "chief information officer" services, network and software services. The value of the deal wasn't disclosed.
