Elementary summer school to resume in Kaneland.(Neighbor)(Sugar Grove)

Byline: Leslie Hague Kaneland will conduct school at two schools for at-risk elementary students this summer. School board members evaluated the program last week, and agreed to have it at $100 a student. The program is voluntary and will have both math and language arts sections. Two years ago, the program was discontinued because of budget concerns.
At the $100 price, the district will pay for about $28,000 of the $36,000 price tag, said Tom Runty, assistant superintendent for business. Board members said they would prefer the program be affordable for more students to participate.
