Byline: Sara Hooker Daily Herald Staff Writer Aurora police say it's possible a man they want to talk to in connection with the weekend death of a 44-year-old woman may have left the area to join his family in Texas or Mexico. Police said they consider Joel E. Enriquez, 33, a "person of interest" in the death of his girlfriend, Maria Guadalupe Gomez.
Both lived with Gomez's family in a two-story apartment building where she was found dead Sunday morning on the city's east side. She had suffered blunt trauma to the head and neck. "Both he and the victim apparently have only been in Aurora for a period of two or three months," police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said Tuesday.
