Comment period extended: An additional public hearing has been scheduled regarding the proposed Prairie Parkway and the comment period has been extended, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced Friday. The hearing is scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 13 at the old Kendall County Courthouse, 110 W.
Madison St., Yorkville. Written comments will be accepted until Feb. 28. The previous deadline was Tuesday. Also known as the Outer Belt, the proposed highway would connect the Reagan Memorial Tollway with I-80. Comments should be sent to Diane O'Keefe, regional engineer, IDOT, 700 E.
