Dist. 103 restores some cuts: Lincolnshire-Prairie View District 103 board has approved restorations to its budget for the 2007-08 school year, made possible because of a successful 38-cent tax rate increase referendum in November. Last March, the district OK'd $1.4 million in budget reductions for the 2006-07 school year to operate a balanced budget.
Additional revenue will allow the district to restore some staff, implement technology upgrades, fund staff development and curriculum, and after-school academic and athletic programs. These budget changes total $750,000.
