Cubs name Chase media relations director.(Sports)

Byline: Special to the Daily Herald The Cubs on Thursday named Peter Chase the team's director of media relations. Chase arrives in Chicago after seven years with the Boston Red Sox, his most recent title manager of media relations. He joined the Red Sox in 2000 as a media intern before being promoted to media relations assistant two years later.
"We are pleased to have Peter join the Cubs organization," said team president John McDonough. "He is very highly regarded in our industry, and we feel that he'll be a major contributor to the success of our operation." Chase, who will begin his new job Jan. 18, is a native of Falls Church, Va. He graduated from Boston University in 2001 with a bachelor of arts in print journalism.
