Charles T. Burney of Arlington Heights Visitation for Charles T. Burney will be from 3 p.m. to the time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.
Born Sept. 28, 1923, in Aurora, Mo., to Troy and Gertrude (nee Filler) Burney, he died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at his home. Mr. Burney was employed by Kemper Insurance Company in Long Grove as an actuary for 30 years before retiring in 1988. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is a former president of the CPCU Society. Charles' survivors include his wife of 56 years, Geraldine "Geri" (nee Brankin), whom he married Feb. 18, 1950; son, Thomas R. (Joy)...
