Creston O. Newell of Round Lake Heights Friends of the family of Creston O. Newell, formerly of Chicago, may visit from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake. Interment will follow immediately after the service in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Libertyville.
Born Jan. 20, 1911, in Minburn, Iowa, to the late Carl and Mabel Newell, she passed away, Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, at the age of 95. Creston was a 1934 graduate of Iowa State University. He worked for Smith and Company for 42 years and in 1954, the company introduced a new product and talk line that Creston dubbed the Butterball Turkey and the Butterball Turkey...
