Spirit Awards hail Oscar weekend.(Time Out!)(TV & Radio)

Byline: Ted Cox Remotely interesting: If it's Oscar weekend, that means it's Independent Spirit Awards weekend as well. The Independent Film Channel carries the anti-Academy Awards starting at 4 p.m. Saturday with Sarah Silverman as host. WE TV has the "Red Carpet Arrivals" at 3:30. For the actual Oscars, E! begins its countdown at 11 a.m.

Sunday, and Joan and Melissa Rivers follow on the TV Guide Channel at 1 p.m. Both go to the red carpet at 5 p.m. Barbara Walters does her annual Oscar special at 6 p.m. on WLS Channel 7, followed by ABC's red-carpet show at 7 and the ceremony proper with Ellen DeGeneres as host at 7:30. Former WBBM Channel 2 weather forecaster Dave Price is back in town. He'll do his CBS "Early Show" weather reports from Navy Pier's...
