Byline: Special to the Daily Herald STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Before Illinois boarded its charter flight to Penn State on Friday night, Bruce Weber drove to Panera to grab some chicken noodle soup for flu-ridden senior Warren Carter. It was a nice gesture, but Weber needn't have bothered. Why? Because for the last five years, Penn State and its Bryce Jordan Center have served as perfect cures for all Illinois ills.

With NCAA Tournament fever approaching the boiling point nationwide, Carter and the rest of the Illini torched the Nittany Lions from the outset Saturday afternoon and rolled to a 68-50 Big Ten victory.
