Byline: Mike McGraw Daily Herald Sports Writer AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -Pistons guard Chauncey Billups implored the home fans not to boo Ben Wallace upon his return to the Palace of Auburn Hills for the first time since jumping to the Bulls as a free agent. "I know if I was a fan, I wouldn't boo Ben," Billups said in the Detroit Free Press.

"After what he gave to this city and what he meant to this city and this franchise ... I'd give him a standing ovation." Fans at the Palace, notoriously some of the NBA's nastiest, couldn't help themselves. They booed Wallace during pregame introductions, booed him when he touched the ball and booed him on the way to the bench. When replaced by P.J.
