Jeffrey Steven Malecek of St. Charles A service celebrating the life of Jeffrey Steven Malecek, 35, will be held at noon Saturday, at the West Ridge Community Church, 3300 Encounter Lane, Elgin (www.westridgechurch.net ).

Pastor Darren Sloniger will officiate. Jeff's family will be receiving friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Born May 17, 1971, in Mattoon, Ill., he died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at his home. Jeff was a lifelong resident of the Dundee area. He was a 1989 graduate of Dundee Crown High School and a 1993 graduate of Bradley University. Jeff was employed as an insurance underwriter for Traveler's Insurance. He was an avid outdoorsman. Jeff enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, skiing and cycling.
