Edward F. Oppasser of Palatine A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Edward F. Oppasser, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 916 E. Central Road, Arlington Heights. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the church. Born Sept. 6, 1930, in New York City, to Elias and Doris Oppasser, he passed away Sunday, Feb.
11, 2007, at his home. He attended St. Ignatius High School in Forest Hills, N.Y. and Villanova University in Pennsylvania. He served his country as a sergeant in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He met and married the love of his life, Barbara in the spring of 1959, and built a beautiful home and started a family.
