Howard W. Miner of Batavia Private graveside services for Howard W. Miner, 92, will take place at East Lawn Cemetery, Beloit, Wis. Born Oct. 19, 1914, in Wayne, Neb., the son of Earl and Myrtle (nee Gaunt) Miner, he passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at McAuley Manor in Aurora. Howard graduated from Batavia High School, Class of 1933, before continuing his education at the University of Illinois, graduating in 1938.
Howard was employed as a foundry man for more than 40 years before retiring from Beloit Corp. in 1978. Howard was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
