John V. Shaver of Naperville Visitation for John V. Shaver, 76, will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the services at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville. Born Feb. 28, 1930, in Flint, Mich., he passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at the Westmont Convalescent Center in Westmont.
Mr. Shaver earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. He served his country in both the Navy and the Air Force, retiring as senior master sergeant after a 21-year career. Following his military career, he became a high school mathematics teacher.
