Morrison, UIC's top all-around men's gymnast, is one of eight national finalists for the 2007 Nissen-Emery Award, the equivalent to the Heisman Trophy for college football.

"It's a big honor. It's a huge surprise," Morrison said. "To be at a seemingly smaller school, not like a Big Ten school, and still be picked for it, I think it says a lot for other schools," said the 20-year-old math major.
