Robert V. Struckman of Elgin Funeral services for Robert V. Struckman, 89, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 357 Division St., Elgin, IL 60120, with the Rev. Olin Sletto officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of services.

Born Dec. 8, 1917, in Elgin, the son of Albert and Amy (nee Johnson) Struckman, he passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at his home. Robert graduated from Elgin High School in 1936, and the University of Illinois in 1940. He spent the years from 1946 to 1979 working for Elgin Sheet Metal Heating and Ventilating Company as the business manager.
