Elvin Lewis Abrams of Elgin Funeral services for Mr. Elvin Lewis Abrams, 87, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, with the Rev. Dan Schenck officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Born Jan. 11, 1920, in Lemont, Ill., the son of Archie and Cora Schwartz Abrams, he passed away Monday, April 23, 2007, at his home after a short illness.

Mr. Abrams was a graduate of Lemont Township High School, where he was class president. He then graduated from DePaul University with a B.S. degree.
