And the only way to restore the luster is to get U.S. troops out of Iraq, from a war she calls illegal, press politicians to "do the right thing" and make sure journalists ask the tough questions.
She told a sold-out auditorium at the College of DuPage McAninch Arts Center in Glen Ellyn that after more than 50 years in the White House press corps, she doesn't regret a single question asked.
