Byline: Eric Peterson epeterson@@dailyherald.com Schaumburg trustees Tuesday gave the green light for a 166-room Hilton Garden Inn to be built at the southwest corner of Woodfield Road and National Parkway. While the new hotel will probably tap into the market created by Schaumburg's new convention center from time to time, it actually represents a more general improvement in the region's hotel industry, officials said.

"We're seeing a lot of higher-end hotels," said the village's Development Review Planner Brian Simmons.
