Byline: Kim Mikus Shuffling through racks at T.J. Maxx or Marshalls is an art. And there's a satisfaction in finding that perfect accessory at HomeGoods. It seems shoppers either really, really enjoy the off-price shopping concept or they don't. The three stores, which operate under the TJX Companies umbrella, are making some changes in an effort to stay fresh and grow their customer base.
Marshalls, for example, is adding new Shoe MegaShops at some stores. The Rand Road location in Mount Prospect recently made this switch, adding more shoes. Additional Marshalls stores are set to see the changes soon. The concept involves expanding to a 5,000-square-foot footwear department for men, women and children.
