Byline: Eileen O. Daday For the second straight year, Roosevelt University has fielded a club baseball team which plays its home games at Alexian Field in Schaumburg. While the team continues to struggle in games against such opponents as Columbia College, Northeastern Illinois University, Marquette University, University of Illinois, and University of Wisconsin at Madison, university officials see a bigger gain than wins and losses.
They credit two Schaumburg natives, both Schaumburg High School graduates, with spearheading the drive to bring back intercollegiate sports at Roosevelt, and creating the inaugural Intramural Sports Club.
