Byline: Jan Riggenbach Have you finished planting your garden yet? That's a question I get asked frequently. No matter when the question is asked during the growing season, my answer is always no. I can always find another bare spot to fill, so there's no such thing as a finished garden. Luckily, we gardeners who want to keep planting can choose from a wide array of easy-to-transplant specimens sold in containers.
That means there's no reason to stop planting, even in the heat of summer. The Perennial Plant Association celebrates June as Perennial Gardening Month, to remind gardeners that this is still a perfect time for new additions to your perennial garden.
