Byline: Joseph Ryan jryan@@dailyherald.com As a severe storm pounded O'Hare International Airport on Wednesday, a jumbo jet clipped a smaller plane on the tarmac, taking a chunk out of its tail rudder. No injuries were reported. The incident occurred at 3:50 p.m. when a United Airlines Boeing 777, which was carrying 347 passengers, was moving on a holding pad and its wing clipped the tail of an American Airlines MD-80 carrying 136 passengers and five crew members.
