George Blankenship of Elgin The funeral service for George Blankenship, 79, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Epworth United Methodist Church, northwest corner of Randall and Highland, Elgin. Burial will be in West Virginia. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S.
State St., Elgin, and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday at the church. Born July 12, 1927, in Wayne, W.V., the son of Charles "Delbert" and Margaret Blankenship, he passed this life into Eternity on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Heritage Manor in Elgin.
