Byline: Kim Mikus Jody Haas recently opened Shangri-Lon salon in Libertyville. Hair cuts, manicures, pedicures, clinical skin care including mircroderm abrasion, peels and therapeutic massage are offered at the business, which opened in April at 235 W. Peterson Road, across from Grand Appliance.
Haas, who has been a hair stylist for 26 years, said the eight independent contractors who rent space from her have more than 200 years combined experience. Haas, 46, explained that the business has a warm atmosphere. "We treat everyone as family," she said.
