Chicago, where the skyscraper was born, is giving birth to a new residential structure that will be the tallest residential tower in the world and the second tallest building in Chicago behind the Sears Tower. The 90-story Trump International Hotel & Tower at 401 North Wabash Ave., on the site formerly occupied by the Chicago Sun- Times, will open the doors to its hotel December 1.
It will be taking reservations for its banquet facilities September 1, said Ivanka Trump, daughter and partner of the building's developer, Donald Trump.
