Laidlaw sale faces yet another delay NAPERVILLE - Laidlaw International Inc., operator of school buses and Greyhound, and FirstGroup PLC, the U.K. train and bus operator that proposed a $2.8 billion buyout of Laidlaw in February, have entered into a timing agreement with the Antitrust Division of the U.S.
Department of Justice. The companies agreed to provide the Antitrust Division with additional time to complete its review of the proposed transaction. The closing now will not take place before Sept. 14.
