Byline: Shreya Baxi sbaxi@@dailyherald.com This weekend, Fox Valley residents will have the opportunity to feel like gods and goddesses as they experience some divine food at the 29th annual St. Sophia's Greek Fest in Elgin. Festival attendees will be transported from their suburban hometowns and straight into the European getaway country at the Greek Orthodox church.

"We're going to be having two large-screen slide shows in each of the big dining tents of Greece. It's landscape, culture, and people. Just a constant transition," said Dan Savas, who co-chairs the event with his wife, Sieglinde. One change to look out for is the replacement of a rock climbing wall with a "Euro bungee."
