Moneris, owned by the Royal Bank of Canada and the Bank of Montreal, is one of the nation's largest electronic transaction processors.

The company uses new technology to process credit cards and financial transfers and plans to expand with direct debits and back-office check processing services, said Moneris U.S. President Greg Cohen.
