Scott Jay Kunkel Scott Kunkel was a man of sharp wit and a sense of humor. He passed away suddenly on Friday, July 13, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Lynn; daughter, Tara; and sons, Jess and Grant. Scott was born in Winona, Minn. on Feb. 27, 1953. In his youth he and his family had eight moves in 10 years, living in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Illinois.
He graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Arlington Heights, Ill. in 1971. He then attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, graduating in 1975. He was a member of the SAE fraternity. After graduation he was affiliated with Kies Oil Company in Miami, Fla.
