Paramedic fights terrorism: Lombard firefighter and paramedic Brian Stuart has been picked to become a member of the Illinois Terrorism Taskforce Urban Search and Rescue Team TF-1. The team is designed to fulfill needs in cases of disaster and report to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Stuart, who joined the Lombard Fire Department in 1991, is also the deputy director of the village's Office of Emergency Management. In addition to his work in Lombard, Stuart works as a police office in Oregon, Ill.
