Lisle promotes officer: A 12-year veteran of the Lisle Police Department will be promoted to sergeant at an 11 a.m. ceremony Friday at the department's headquarters, 5040 Lincoln Ave. Officer Tim Dempsey is being promoted in the wake of Sgt. Robert Legg's retirement a few weeks ago, police officials said.
Legg had served on the department for 26-plus years. Dempsey will work as a patrol sergeant on the overnight shift, officials said.
