How would stem cell prayer have gone? I was surprised and saddened by the audio recording of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as played on a June 7 radio newscast, regarding the embryonic stem cell legislation sent to President Bush for signature. She said "I hope and pray" that President Bush reconsider his past position on this topic and sign the legislation.
I am curious to know exactly what that prayer would have sounded like -"Please God, let the President reverse his moral compass and sign this bill so that the harvesting and murdering of the innocent unborn can proceed immediately"? I wonder how that prayer would have been received, and I wonder further how she plans to handle the decision and debate on this legislation when she meets the Person...
