Buffalo Grove - A 1997 Volkswagen Jetta was stolen out of a garage on the 1000 block of Greenridge Road between July 22 and July 26. Police said the car was later involved in a hit-and-run accident in Elgin, but no information on possible arrests was available. - A golf bag with 15 clubs, 25 golf balls and tees was stolen out of a 2005 Toyota Scion SUV parked in the Metra lot July 26.

Police said the thief smashed a window to get the clubs; the loss and damage were valued at $875. - BB gun pellets and stones broke two door windows at 1400 Busch Parkway overnight July 25-26. Damage was estimated at $100. Wheeling - Thieves stole equipment worth $400 from a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle early on July 26 on the 700 block of Barnaby Place.
