Edmund G. Carey formerly of Hampshire

A funeral blessing for Edmund G. "Ed" Carey, 67, of Huntley, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire, with the Rev. Joseph Nicolosi officiating. Cremation burial will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont, Ohio. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Born Nov. 20, 1940, in Boston, the son of Francis and Mary (Erwin) Carey, he passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008, in Crystal Lake. Mr. Carey was an Air Force veteran and a licensed pilot. In June of 1967, he married Marcia A. Eberly. They were residents of Hampshire from 1976 to 2006, before moving to Huntley. Marcia passed away Jan. 11, 2008. Mr. Carey worked as a truck driver...
