Swan Magnuson of Lake Villa Swan Magnuson, 76, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born April 30, 1931, in Chicago, to Sven and Svea (nee Petersson) Magnuson. Formerly of Des Plaines, Swan had been a resident of Lake Villa since 1988. He was employed as a pressman for over 40 years.

His last place of employment before retiring was at Great Northern Design in Niles. He was a member of G.C.I.U. Local @#458. He was a veteran of the Marines Corps, serving during the Korean War. Swan loved gardening, was an avid reader and enjoyed crosswords. He was also a loving father and doting grandfather.
