Eleanor Mildred Solar of Arlington Heights A memorial service for Eleanor Mildred Solar (nee Groh), 89, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 916 E. Central Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Born Jan. 11, 1919, in Chicago, she died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights.

She had worked for A.O. Smith for many years. She was the wife of the late Joseph; and sister of Florence Groh, and the late Warren F. Groh and Ruth L. Ewald; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Joseph and Eleanor Solar Memorial Fund, c/o Southminster Presbyterian Church.
