Nasdaq officials are working on rules that will require leaders of listed companies to take courses in corporate responsibility. At the same time, Big Board honchos are working on a directors institute fund that will help executives take courses on their responsibilities.

Nasdaq officials said that they already have relationships for continuing education courses with universities such as Stanford Directors College and the University of Wisconsin - State of Wisconsin Investment Board Directors Summit. Nasdaq officials said, once new rules are framed for corporate responsibility courses, these courses will be mandatory.
