*Howard Schwartz was appointed chairman and chief executive officer of order routing vendor Tradeware Systems. Schwartz was formerly head of the agency brokerage Lynch, Jones & Ryan. The exec has nearly 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. He headed LJR from 1991 to 2002, after leading a buyout of LJR from Citicorp. In 2000, LJR was purchased by Instinet.

*John Dolan joined Kellogg Specialist Group, formerly Performance Specialist Group, as a specialist. Dolan was previously president of Van der Moolen Specialists USA.

*John O'Donoghue joined SG Cowen & Co. as co-head of equities and head of trading. The exec will work with Bob Meier, who joined SG Cowen & Co. in November 2004 as head of sales. O'Donoghue was previously with...
