Sep. 3--The Swiss company that plans to buy Brach's Confections said it intends to boost chocolate production, which could sweeten the Chattanooga operations of the business.

"We think it provides more opportunity for the Chattanooga facility," said Terry O'Brien, president of Brach's.

Mr. O'Brien, who became Brach's chief two weeks ago, wouldn't comment on future employment numbers at the plant, but said the ac...uisition should provide more products and marketing activity. ...
