Office Depot Leases New Location in Bradenton, Fla. (Originated from The Bradenton Herald, Fla.)

BRADENTON, Fla.--Jul. 10--Office Depot, a fast-growing Florida retailer of office supplies and equipment, plans to open a store by early next year at the former Lionel Playworld site at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Cortez Road.

After Lionel closed its store in January under the company's bankruptcy reorganization, the owner of the property, Yonkers, N.Y.-based Juster Development Co., leased the building to Office Depot, said Gil Consolini, Juster's director of real estate.

Consolini said Office Depot negotiated the lease in March for the 55,000- square-foot building on the 14-acre site.

Officials at Office Depot's headquarters in Delray Beach would not confirm a new store was opening at 4301 W. 14th St. W. The store would be its first in Manatee...
