COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Aug. 9--Hewlett-Packard Co., that stalwart of the electronics industry, is undergoing a subtle revolution. This isn't an overhaul needed to stem millions of dollars in losses or help the company regain its footing in the computer industry. HP's operations already generate profits, and dozens of the company's products are industry leaders.

This change is about nuances. No longer will the company's 60-odd divisions work autonomously, encouraged to act entrepreneurial as they have for more than 50 years. The new HP a couple years in rolling out new products, she said.
