Fox TV Says NAACP Charges of Foreign Ownership Are Recycled CBS Charges. (Originated from New York Daily News)

Jun. 9--First, it was professional football. Now it's CBS and Fox Broadcasting trading charges about the FCC's ongoing probe into the foreign ownership of Rupert Murdoch's television network.
Daily Variety reported yesterday that a Fox executive said the moving force behind the FCC's inquiry into Fox's ownership - the Metropolitan (N.Y.) Council of NAACP Branches - is merely recycling charges first made by CBS four years ago.
"Fox officials believe that the foreign ownership issue raised by the NAACP was given to them by CBS," a Fox spokeswoman told the Daily News yesterday.
